After a stop at Crescent Head then a 17km extremely slow drive on pothole gravel road we reached a camp ground at Point Plomer - lovely beach campground with terrific views right out of the van.  Good swimming and fishing (or so they say- I still haven't had a free feed yet).

On the road again to Nambucca Heads with some day trips to Belligen, Dorrigo, Dorrigo National Park and Coffs Harbour.    Weather has been terrific the last few days with just the odd shower or two then hot sun again.  The sun tan is coming along nicely.   Belligen  is a lovely small town about 15 minutes from coast and Dorrigo National Park - really good - just a small walk 1.5 hours to a waterfall with a sighting of a black snake and lots of birds.  Back down Waterfall Way (where Russ, Cam, Phil and Richie took the motorbikes on their Qld trip) to Nambucca Heads.  Everything is so green up this way.

Tonight we are sleeping with the sheep - a pretty new campground just out of Grafton called 3 Creeks.  Peace at last  we are the only ones other than the owners of the property, some sheep and the birds.

 

Three Creeks camping Ground is somebody's dream to own a caravan park, very basic only 18 months old, made from open grass paddock that was just grazing pasture. Very quite, even the birds haven't shifted in. The silence was gold , until the XTP and some goods trains came through.  Oh well it was cheap $12 with wood thrown in.
